Playground Fun!!

What fun Violet had at the park with Aiden! She was a bit timid at first, but once she saw Aiden running all over the equipment no way was she going to be left behind! She even tried to follow him up the slide by walking up it and holding on to the sides. She was so exhausted when we left and took a long much needed nap!

Pretty gal!

Look at our sweet little girl, we just can't believe how she gets prettier and prettier every single day! It is so sad watching her grow so quickly from a baby into such a beautiful little girl, but at the same time we are just fascinated everyday at each new thing she can do. Her latest thing is that she makes a super high pitched squeal sometimes for no reason but most of the time when she is so excited about anything from playing "I'm gonna get you" to chasing the dogs! She is also making new signs and when she wants more food she has got that sign down pat!!

St Patrick's Day!

Icky Sicky

It seems just as we get over some type of bug/virus we get to try out another! But this time it has hit Mommy super hard. I started feeling like I was coming down with a cold this weekend. Violet had a cough and clear runny nose all the week before, but she was acting normal so we thought maybe it was just teeth. Well, my cold has developed into a horrible sinus infection, and Violet ended up having an ear infection as well. Brandon has been a real trooper through it all though(cleaning, cooking, laundry) especially last night when my fever spiked to 102 and I just laid in bed all evening and he took care of Violet while I rested. One thing I've discovered is there are no sick days when your a mom! Violet still wants to eat and play...go figure! But at least she doesn't mind that I leave her in her jammies all day:)

Pink Snow Blob!!

Well, it snowed again for us this weekend here on the East Coast & this time, fortunately, it was a fun fluffy snow, instead of ICE!! So, we actually got to take Violet out in it and pull her around on her new sled. (the only time she's gotten to use it this winter). As you can see she's a bit unsure about the whole thing especially when the flakes were landing on her face. She liked to touch the snow after her struggle to get her gloves off, but then decided it was too cold on her little fingers! She fell off the sled a few times, and couldn't really move since she was just a huge pink blob. So, when the tears started, we called it a day and went back inside where it was so warm! Even though we got a bunch of snow in such a short amount of time, the temps rose up to the 50's this week and all melted very quickly, so we have no more snow now. Because it warmed up so quickly and has been so sunny and beautiful, I took Vi to the park just one block from our house and she had a blast exploring and discovering!! (her favorite was the cigarette buds...yuck!!) I have to really keep an eye on her since everything she finds, and she finds EVERYTHING, goes right in her mouth!!
