Play Time!

Violet has so much fun playing with other kids! Check her out playing with her friend Miles when he came to stay with us while his mommy had a new baby sister for him. Welcome baby Lucy! Miles and Violet play so great together:)

Easter Bunny's Apprentice

Happy Easter to all of our Family and Friends! What a glorious day it is that our Lord has risen from the dead. Today we get to celebrate not only his life, but our eternity that we will get to spend with him because of his sacrifice. He has Risen!

As you can see we had a special visit this morning from an Easter Bunny In-Training!

bumps & scrapes

Violet is on the move! I don't think she would ever stop unless we physically put her up in her bed at night. She's like the energizer bunny....she keeps going, and going.... But, poor little thing is in such a hurry to be like the big kids she gets going faster than her little feet can keep up with her body! Check out those scraped knees she got from that mean old brick sidewalk! And you'll notice the gash under her mouth she got falling off the ottoman into her book basket. Poor thing...she's such a little trooper though, she falls, cries, needs mommy, and then is ready to keep on moving! She moves around so well that sometimes it's easy to forget that she is only 13 1/2 mths and still fairly new at all of this.

One last tidbit, she has started saying, "Daddy" instead of just "DaDa". Needless to say Brandon is thrilled!

Cherry Blossoms

This is one of the most beautiful times of the year here in the District! The Cherry Blossoms are so breathtakingly awesome and they are fun to go see every year. I think they also get better and better every year, but the crowds get worse and worse each year! Last night we took Violet down to play around the tidal basin where all the cherry blossoms are at their peak this week. Our friends, Tim, Alicia and Mark were here and thoroughly enjoyed their first experience seeing this white wonderland of trees!
