Stinkin' Poopy Cutie!

AHHHH, what a week we've had!! Miss Violet has been really trying her poor Mama with her artistic abilities with her own feces paint this week. I just don't understand the fascination! I mean come on it stinks so bad....I won't go any further with the descriptives for those of you with weak tummies....but good grief how gross can one little cutie be! She obviously doesn't like sitting in it, but doesn't let me know that she has gone either. Like today I put her down for a nap and heard her playing and talking to herself about 15 minutes later, so I went upstairs to investigate and as much experience as I've had in this area of late I knew by the 3rd stair what uncontained pooh smells like...yes there is a big difference! Dreading to open the door and listening to the squeals of delight, I peek in to see yes....well you know.... And Vi dropping to her knees to lie down like she should be. I can't believe it, so now I know she know's what she is doing is naughty! So, after a whole lot of tears (from both of us) a bath, scouring of her bed area, and changing all the linens (for the umpteenth time this week) she finally took a nap! Sweet peace at last:)

So, it was a good thing I checked my e-mail and found a super cutie picture of Violet that our friend Nina sent today. A reminder of how sweet she really can be when not covered in head to toe in "brown paste"!!!!

Deep Creek

What a great 4th of July we had up in the mountains at Deep Creek Lake. We went with our friends Christina, Diaro (Violet's Tio and Tia), and baby GoGo for a few days of fresh clean mountain air! On the fourth we went out on the boat skiing and tubing around the lake. The kids had a great time, although we think Go Go may have gotten a little sea sick:( But, they both slept wonderfully! Then after we ate crabs that night we were headed out to see the fireworks, but a horrible thunderstorm prevented that from happening. On Friday and Saturday after the Borja's had left we spent some time at the state parks swimming in the lake and then hiking around Swallow Falls.
