May Birthdays continued...

The last round of May birthdays were celebrated on May 21st. Both Chase our nephew, and Marilyn, Brandon's stepmom, share this special day! Happy Birthday to you both!!

For Chase's 14th birthday we celebrated with a "movie theater" theme! It was so fun and really creative of his hard-working Mama! I mean check out this cake she made!! All the kids really thought it was awesome and were all pulling out their phones to take pictures of it. First of all, I couldn't believe how many of them had better phones than I do, but secondly this really made Chase's day that the kids thought his party was so cool, which in turn made his Mom's day:)

We had a concession stand with hotdogs, chicken tenders, and nachos that we served the kids from.

After the birthday cake, in case they didn't have enough sugar, they each got their own souvenir bucket of popcorn and pick of theater candy!

We hung up a big sheet and watched the Green Hornet from a projector in our backyard!

Violet Graduates from Preschool!

Violet graduated from her 4 year old preschool on Saturday, May 21st. She is now "ready" for kindergarten, even if Mommy isn't! She had such a fun year of learning at Ms Debbie's school and we couldn't be more thankful for such a patient, loving teacher for Violet! We are so happy that Owen will be in her 3 year old program next year! We can see how much Violet has thrived and grown this past year and we are so pleased to see how much she LOVES school and wants to learn as much as she can!

They sang about 10 songs for us. It was amazing that they knew all the words and motions and none of them skipped a beat!

We are so proud of you Violet!!! (note that the dress Violet is wearing has a "G" on it. It was the dress that my mom made for me when I was 5 years old and Violet really wanted to wear it for her graduation!)

May Birthdays!

May 12th Birthdays! I get to share my birthday with my sweet nephew, Gabriel. He turned ONE this year and how big he has grown! We had a nice dinner of crabcakes and the best cupcakes ever from a cupcake specialty shop in DC.

Just 2 days later on May 14th we celebrated our sweet boy Owen's 3rd birthday! He has been talking about his "Buzz-Woody Cake" party for weeks now!

Yes, that is a moon bounce in our living room! It decided to rain all day, so we set it up inside and were so thankful that it fit! And yes, that is them watching a movie inside the bounce house:)

Easter 2011

Happy Easter 2011! What a fun day/weekend of events we had for Easter this year...

On our way to church... My mom made these adorable sailor smocked outfits! It took A LOT of candy to convince Owen to wear his. He was not a fan, but thankfully we got it on him and got a few nice pictures:)

On Saturday we went to an egg hunt that was being sponsored by a neighborhood church that I go to their Mops group...
