Wow! We have been dumped on in DC! We got 2 feet of snow dumped on us from 8pm Friday night thru early Sunday morning. It is all so beautiful, but we are pretty much buried in our home. Violet is loving it, the dogs are big fans too!! Owen was a fan for about the first 15 minutes then once his Maddie "kissed" him and he dropped his glove he was not a happy camper. He was much happier watching out the window at Violet and Daddy playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at him in the window.

Some cookie decorating with friends at Nina's house...
yummy cookies Ella!
This video was so cute I had to add it! The very beginning of this video proves that Violet really does love her baby brother. By the way, Owen dances just like his daddy:)

Oh Susannah Christmas Concert (Santa makes a surprise visit!)
I've posted before about this great lady who performs children concerts around the DC area. She is great and Owen doesn't leave the stage while she is there! He's a huge groupie:)

Preparing for Christmas
As soon as we got back from SC we put up our tree and the kids had a blast decorating and just being silly:) Owen tried to put the angel on the tree but needed a little help from his big sister.
This was all the kids from Violet's Kid Church dressed as angels singing Christmas songs. Favorite moment of the "concert" was when they were all standing there and Violet spotted me in the crowd and said quite loudly before they began singing, "Mommy, I need to go potty."

Marc's Ordination
The week after Thanksgiving we went down to Sumter, SC for the ordination of our good friend Marc. They have been through so much to get to this point and we are so proud of them! We were so honored to get to participate in the ceremony and visit with the Kaiser family. The boys have grown so much and the kids all got along so well!
Catching Up with Thanksgiving...
So sorry for the delay... I just realized I hadn't posted anything since before Thanksgiving mainly because we have barely had a free moment since then!
We start with Thanksgiving when Brandon's mom, Ada, and stepdad John came for a visit. We were going to host dinner at our house, but Brandon and John started re-tiling our kitchen floor and it turned out to be quite a project! Thank goodness my mom lives so close by that we could take the turkey to her house:) The tile looks awesome though and was totally worth it! Thank YOU John!! Here are some pictures from their visit:
