Happy Halloween!

Here are a few pictures of Violet in her ladybug costume this weekend at her friend Millie's 1st birthday party! The kids had a blast at the party running around looking at each other. I can just imagine the confusion in their little heads as they are looking at each other and thinking "these kids look familiar, but I'm not so sure..." But, after a little sugar they were all ready to go:)

I will post more pictures this evening after Violet's playgroup Halloween Party and we are going to Hilloween here on the Hill this evening!

Tumbling!

I started Violet in a tumbling class this fall and wow does she love it!! As soon as we get there she is squirming away from me to run around with all the other kids and she is not afraid of any of the things the teacher shows them how to do! She goes with her friend Taylor and they have a blast chasing each other around as opposed to following the rest of the class:) At the end of class and probably Vi's favorite time they get to jump into this big foam pit! All she wants to do is get out and jump back in and oh yeah count to 3 before she jumps!

Violet's Announcement!

Violet has a big announcement to make.....

Yes she is going to be a big sister and has 2 new shirts to prove it:)

I'm about 9 weeks along and due May 22, 2008! Pray for my sanity, health, and the health of the baby. And don't forget to pray for poor Violet as her "perfect" little world is about to be turned upside down and she has no clue:)

White House

What 19 month old do you know that gets to visit the White House? We had a tour by a friend of my sister's who works for the President. And he gave us a great tour of the West Wing and we even got to see the oval office! The last tour we had during the Clinton administration, was a bit different than this one. During that tour we could actually go into the different rooms and take pictures of the inside of the White House, but after 9/11 this is no longer possible. So, we were only allowed to take pictures outside in the rose garden and in the front. Our friend who gave us the tour said he will take us for a tour of the East Wing once all the Christmas decorations are up!

Happy Birthday Pop Pop!!

Yesterday was Violet's Pop Pop's birthday! My dad turned a fresh 39 years old;) We had such a nice time celebrating with him and spending a relaxing Sunday with family! Life is so rough with both of your grandpa's feeding you chocolate icecream cake!

Brandon's mom and stepdad, John were in town this week for a visit as well! Violet loved getting reaquianted with her grandparents from Missouri, and will definetly miss them when they leave:( In fact, she's gotten so much attention since they've been here, she'll probably be bored when it's just me and her again!

Boyfriends

These are some of Violet's friends that are boys! This is her friend Giovanny Borja and he is a whole 4 months old. We watched him one day while his mommy was at work and Violet had so much fun playing with him and kissing on him:) She was showing him how to use his play gym since she is an old pro at these things at 18 months! And she jibber jabbered to him the whole time in only a language they each could understand. He just cooed and smiled at her and loved every second of all the attention! It's so fun to have our kids playing together at such an early age since Christina and I have been friends for as long as I can remember! It's nice to know we will always be a part of each others lives.

And this is Vi's friend Mark who just turned 2 years old! We went to see the Williamson's for Mark's birthday and to visit with them before Alicia has Marc's baby brother next month! They had so much fun playing together and while sharing is not exactly Violet's forte, but she is learning...slowly! We met Tim and Alicia on Brandon's boat the Rickover and have stayed good friends with them as our families grow! It's so fun to watch:)

Labor Day

What a wonderful Labor Day we had with the Kaiser family! We met the Kaisers in Charleston, SC, Brandon's first station while in the Navy. The four of us hit it off right away and became best friends. Now we all have kids and are each other's godparents! Marc got out of the Navy last year and went to seminary, so we haven't seen them in over a year! So, this visit was long overdue! Plus it had been such a long time since the boys had seen Violet.

There was lots of playing to be done!!

This is Nashotah House, where Mark is in seminary. They live on campus in the family area and all the kids play together and their are a ton of them:) It's so nice and safe and they don't even have to worry about locking doors or anything!
