Easter 2010

Every Easter our church puts on a huge Eggstravaganza with games, the Easter bunny, real bunnies, and of course a huge easter egg hunt!

On Easter Sunday we went over to my parents house for dinner. My mom made Violet's Easter dress too. It is so beautiful and something she will always treasure! Violet didn't want to take it off even to sleep and kept twirling like a little Princess.
My mom also made Owen's outfit, but it was originally made for Chase 13 years ago! It has been so fun to see my little boy wearing things that feels like Chase wore them last year. Crazy how time flies!
Searching for eggs that the Easter Bunny left in Mom Mom and Pop Pop's yard! The Easter Bunny must have gotten a raise since he used to leave eggs when I was little, cuz I don't remember there being $$ in my eggs:)

Disneyland

We loved Disneyland! Here are pictures of the great time we had and a few of the drive to Disney.

This is the Grapevine just outside of Bakersfield. You can kinda see the beautiful wildflowers that were blooming all over the place. Purple just for Violet:)

Sweet Violet

My sweet girl LOVES babies! Brandon's cousin from CA Matt and his wife Mel had a sweet baby just a week before we were out there and Violet was all over her. She was so sweet and gentle and kept shushing everyone so the baby could sleep. Here is a video of her singing to baby Addyson.

California!

What a fun time we had in California visiting all of our family and ending the trip with an awesome time at DisneyLand!
The plane rides to and from were pretty rough on Owen (and his parents) who is a VERY active almost 2 year old and could not comprehend why in the world we would ever need to sit in one spot for 5 hours! But once there both kids were ecstatic to see Papa who met us at the airport! Violet had been talking about this trip for months was thrilled to finally be in California:) She tried lots of new foods all because we told her they were California burgers or California tacos! Hey, whatever works right?!!
Both kids loved getting to play with their cousins too!
my monkey children
Bill & Marilyn graciously hosted all the family at this yummy barbque joint down the street from where they live and then had everyone back to their house for dessert to visit more with us. What fun it was to have everyone all together and show off our kids to them all. My goal was to try and get pictures of each family, but I seem to have missed some. Guess we'll have to make another trip soon so I can get those I missed!

playing catch-up!

Wow! We have been so busy that I haven't had time to catch the blog up! I can't believe the last post was Vi's b-day...sorry folks:) For those of you who don't know yet we have been getting our house ready to put on the market and we are going to head to the 'burbs. We were trying to get everything ready so it could go on the market while we were visiting our family in California last week. We got everything done and the house looks fantastic! Praying that it sells quickly so I don't have to go crazy picking up after a 4 and 2 year old! We also had a great time in CA and I will post pictures of that as soon as I've got us all caught up...

To continue from the blizzard back in February we have some fun shots of us sledding on the hills of the Capitol. After 9/11 they stopped letting people do this, but one of the Senators was able to get the neighborhood permission from Congress to allow sledding over President's Day Weekend! It was so much fun!! *note O's pink mittens...poor guy had to borrow Violet's that day:) I think he survived though.

For Valentine's Day Violet wrote her own name on all her Valentines for her friends at Little Learners PlaySchool. I was so proud of her! It says, "Bear Hugs, from Violet" and it was little bags of teddy grahams.
