Best Buds!

Here are some more pictures of Violet and her friend Taylor! I'm so glad they have each other to grow up with!

Here they are both showing each other where each other's eyes are:)

Violet's Friends!

These are some of Vi's friends! They all got to go swimming at the pool together and then we got some super sweet pictures of them all together! The girls are all in matching dresses that Miss Nina got for them and from left to right is Taylor, Ella, and Violet.

Ella is having a blast playing with Violet's head and she doesn't seem to mind being the one man-handled this time at least.... Ella is only 6 months old and has a beautiful smile she is willing to give anyone who glances her way:)

Taylor is only 3 weeks younger than Violet and is Vi's most verbal friend! She can even say "Violet" and loads of other words. I'm hoping Violet will pick-up some of her vocabulary! But the girls play great together!

And this is Baby Giovanny, "Go Go" as Taylor has named him! He didn't like being with the girls, but we figure it's only a matter of time he is chasing them around:)

Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all our wonderful Fathers, but especially to my little princesses daddy! What a great daddy Brandon is to his little girl:) Violet's favorite word to say ALL day is "daddy, daddy, daddy." And I tell her, "Yes daddy loves you!" And after working all day he comes home to spend special time with her and I playing and going to the park or bike riding! Then each night Brandon takes Violet up for her bath time and then they hang out on our bed and watch Scrubs before bedtime. Maybe she will grow up to be a doctor because it is the only adult show she sits down and watches and when she hears the theme song she does a little dance:) Then her favorite dada reads her a few books before putting her down to bed. Not only is he a great dad to Violet in the fact that he takes such good care of his princess, but he is a great husband as well. He does so much around the house and always helps with the grocery shopping and cooking! Yes, I do have the perfect MAN!!

16 Months!!

Wow! Time is really flying!! Brandon and I feel like we are always saying that when we look at how big our girl is getting. She is soooo not a baby anymore! She wants to do things herself and has become quite the climber. The other day we found her on top of the dining room table and thought I was going to have a heart attack! So, for her 16 month birthday Vi decided to start the morning out with a bang... She decided that mom wasn't coming fast enough first thing in the morning so she proceeded to paint her poopy diaper all over! All over includes, her face, hair, walls around her crib, of course all her bedding, and I even found it on the curtain next to her bed! It was soooo disgusting! I just couldn't believe my little princess could be so gross! So, now we are in search of long one piece 24 month p.j.'s! She had a onesie on when she did this. It is not easy finding these types of p.j.'s this time of year for a 24 month old!! So, after I cleaned her up, shut her bedroom door since I couldn't look at it without gagging all over the place, we ate breakfast and I pretended there was nothing wrong for about an hour. Then once my food was settled, I masked and gloved myself while Vi watched TellyTubbies to scrub down her room. Once everyone was cleaned up we took a trip to the store and on the way home the little munchkin who NEVER falls asleep in the car in case she might miss something was zonked out AND snoring in less than 5 minutes! What an exhausting day for such a little darling.... (note the sarcasm!)

Beach Time

I took Violet to the beach last week to visit her Great Uncle Jake and Great Aunt DiDi and then we went and stayed with Violet's tia and tio, Christina and Diaro, in Ocean City. Violet had so much fun on the beach especially when her cousin Chase came to visit with Auntie La La. Mommy didn't really get to relax very much though since Violet is non-stop now! When she wasn't racing down to check out the waves she was checking out the people sunbathing. She didn't quite understand that when people are sleeping on their towels they don't want a little baby getting sand all over them to say "HI". Although, it was quite cute! Her grass skirt bathing suit was the biggest hit of the beach though. So many people stopped to tell me how cute she was it was getting a bit ridiculous:) Also, check out Violet's first outdoor shower, she had a blast with that too! I think we have quite the water baby as she has no fear of anything, loud waves included!

Using a Spoon!

So, we are suprised everyday by the accomplishments of our baby girl, who is not such a baby anymore. We took her to a Baysox baseball game and she had such fun eating icecream on her own and drinking water of the water fountain. They also have a kids area with a carousel which we put her on and she said "wheee" the whole way around!

Visit with family....

After the wedding we took a mini weekend trip to visit Brandon's family in Bakersfield. It was so great getting to see everyone and show off our little princess! And what fun the two cousins had playing together:) The trip was way too short, but it was great to see everyone!
Beach Time!!! The Navy Lodge in Coronado that we stayed at was Awesome!! Our room overlooked a large courtyard area that opened up onto the beach! There was fun playground equipment on a large portion of the beach which is where we would mainly hang out. Then the beach was just beyond a little dune and when Violet would see if she would run for it! While she was not a huge fan of how the sand felt on her little toesies, she loved the ocean! She eventually came to love the sand and couldn't get enough of it either. We were right next to the landing strip on the base so we go to see the cool Navy helicopters come in every night and it was definetly a highlight of Violet's day! She would point to the helos and and say "ohhhh". So cute! These are all shots of the beach at the lodge.

Violet and I took a little day trip while Brandon was in class one day to La Jolla Beach. We had such fun playing in the surf and watching the seals be lazy:) The Pacific Ocean is so cold, but it really didn't seem to bother Vi since I couldn't keep her out of it. She was really into exploring the seaweed and moss that was growing near the shore!

Last evening in San Diego:( we spent it hanging out with Violet on the beach! We were so sad to leave, but we have to return to the real world....
