What a fun and relaxing Christmas we had this year! Once the craziness of the holiday season settles, usually for us a day or two before Christmas Eve and once the city has emptied out, we get to enjoy each other and just be together. Every year we love spending Christmas in DC. Everyone pretty much leaves the city thru the New Year and for one glorious week there is no traffic and the city is a ghost town.
The kids had a blast on Christmas morning. Violet's first words to us when she ran out of her room (at 8am-I'm still shocked she slept so late!) were, "Did Santa come?!". We made her wait to go downstairs til we were all ready. Awaiting downstairs was a huge dollhouse with all the accessories wrapped in a big bow. Violet (and Owen) were both thrilled. Then once the present opening started it went pretty quickly since Violet can now read her name and Owen's so she was quick on finding all hers and Owen's presents!

Christmas Morning:
We went over to Mom Mom & Pop Pop's house for more festivities:
Brandon checking out the yoga on the Wii fit. He's so tall he could hold onto the ceiling:)
Then we ended the night with dessert at our cousin Jennifer and Victor's house. Violet and Owen loved playing with all their cousins!

The Sunday after Christmas we got together with my dad's side of family and this is a sweet picture with Violet's cousin Arianna Ross. They are only about 2 months apart in age.
Here are both kids with their new piles of goodies:
