10 Year Anniversary Cruise

We celebrated our 10 years of marriage this year by going on a cruise with some of our best friends that we made while in the Navy. Marc and Kim Kaiser were our first "couple" friends that we made after we were married. We met them when we were at our first station, Charleston, SC 10 years ago! Brandon came home and told me he met a guy at power-school that seemed pretty funny and he had a wife too and we should hang out with them sometime. Then after we had all hung our awhile the real story came out.... Marc-"Brandon, you're married right?" B- "yup" M-" We need to get our wives together cuz mine is driving me crazy with no friends here" B-"Mine too and she told me to find her a friend too so sounds good, let's get them together!". And that began the beginnings of a beautiful friendship:) 4 babies (between the both of us), getting out of the Navy and living on different ends of the east coast, we were able to pull off a great vacation we had all been talking about doing for YEARS!!!

We decided to go all out with a 7 day cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Honduras, and Belize. We went on the Carnival Dream out of Port Canaveral, FL which also happens to be their largest and newest boat. It has 2 big water slides, outdoor under the stars movie theater, and we splurged for the balcony room (which was well worth it!). Oh, and TONS of food! Being that we went in February my favorite part of the food was all the wonderful fresh fruit!

Favorite part of cruise was rolling out of bed to balcony to eat our room-service breakfast! I wonder if I can teach my kids to do this for us at home....?!

Carnival's signature towel animals:)

The only sunrise we were awake for...and only because we had to be up so early for our excursion!

Beach Excursion in Costa Maya

Comedy Club Night...

Best seat on the boat! We both fit on this hammock and took a nice nap til I felt my skin burning! It was so hard to give up this prime spot!

Marc & Kim had a back of the boat balcony so we always had a great shot of the sun setting!

Sunset on our last night. It was breathtaking!

Awww....

The boat showed movies every night under the stars!

Kim & Grace for a little late night soak!

Our last breakfast together before disembarkment

Jacob & James (our god-boys!) We were so excited to spend a little time with them before we headed back to the "real" world. They have grown sooo much and were such a joy to be around!

**Special thanks to Mom-Mom, Pop-Pop, and LaLa for watching our munchkins for 8 days!!! Thanks for loving us and letting us get some R/R with our friends! Without you guys this would have been impossible!!!
